Wellborn Hotel Downtown, Sonder

First time staying at a Sonder and overall pretty satisfied with how it turned out. Stayed for a night in room 314 and the room is quite nice. Definitely bigger than the average hotel room, loved the hardwood floor in the bedroom and the bathroom was pretty. The price was very reasonable. Bed was exceptionally firm. I belly flopped onto it and I regret that decision. Parking is a little cramped but it is what it is. Saw a few people mention noise complaints but at least from this room I didn't hear anything out of place. Seems like some of the rooms are a lot better than others, must've gotten lucky.

Beautiful location, awesome vibe. Restaurant, and bar onside in Beautiful patio area. The rooms were great for the price. No front desk u check in by the app, but if u have issues they're a quick call away, and r happy to help. Free parking on-site, tons of transportation options around downtown. NOTE due to the restaurant and bar, they play music from 5-12am, if u want a quiet place, or are not into being in the center of a vibrant place its not for u. Once they turn off the tunes at 12am it's nice and quiet. I loved my stay, will def be booking again.

My husband and I stayed here to attend 2 shows at The Dr. Phillips Center. The location was perfect as we were able to just walk over and not have to worry about parking. The suite was so nice, clean, spacious and the kitchen had a microwave, small fridge, coffee pot as well as coffees and teas. When we needed extra items such as towels and coffee, all it took was a chat on the app and they quickly and efficiently took care of us. Thanks for a great experience, Sonder Wellbourn!

A hidden gem! Very classy for an affordable price. The room we stayed in was actually an entire 1-bedroom apartment. It was easy to find, right off the highway and a right turn onto the street, which is tucked away and very quiet. There is onsite parking and you are given a parking pass upon entering your suite. The apartment is located inside this adorable 1930's building that has been meticulously maintained and updated, surrounded by mature foliage, and next to the main part of the hotel. The apartment was superb. Super clean, every amenity needed, and quiet. The neighborhood is in the historic district, and you really get the feel of old Orlando with the brick streets and the historic homes all around. You can walk out the back door of your unit and onto a beautiful brick pathway that leads back to the courtyard and the on-site tapas bar, which we tried on our first night here, and were very impressed. There is a dj, and an incredibly friendly staff that is attentive. We will 100% book another stay here, this has been one of the best hotel experiences on our trip so far. 10/10 EXCELLENT!

My fiancé and I stayed here last night in the Historic Norment Perry House (room 102). We had a great experience and would absolutely stay at this hotel again. It was so cute and cozy! When booking, we chose the “spacious” option and I think this could be why we had a better experience than some of the other reviewers. Our room was in one of the historic homes as opposed to the larger, pink building rooms. Although there were no staff members, we had everything we needed, our room was clean, and we felt well accommodated. Lots of reviews talked about the loud music at night, and we did hear the music as our room was next to the courtyard. However, our room had a sound machine on the nightstand that worked really well to cover up the music/bar guest chatter and neither of us had any trouble falling/staying asleep. I have attached pictures to this review. I’d stay again!!

I didn't bother reading reviews on this hotel before booking because I attended a work function here and was set on staying sometime. I'm honestly shocked at the low reviews. This is an AirBnB style stay. Sonder is a kitsch apartment hotel company. This is NOT a traditional hotel. Limited and tight quarters parking - don't bring more than one car if you can help it. Self-catering. They will hold a security deposit as well as your stay fee. Our space was clean and well stocked. Pardon the mess in the photos. Fabulous location near major tolls, I4, highly walkable to the Dr. Phillips Center and downtown businesses. Lovely location for a wedding or work function. Hotel is a 1940s build art deco apartment style hotel. The front building is a late 1800s cracker house original to the location, and the main restaurant building in the back is a 1910s cracker house that was moved here for its current use. It's absolutely Old Florida. 15/10 on Old Florida Vibes. One of the best parts of staying here is smelling the food cooking. The bar/restaurant is not cheap but it is really good and it's a major appeal of staying here. I reached out to Sonder to ask about late checkout (not available for us) and the customer service rep was super helpful.

I recently stayed at The Wellborn after my husband’s surgery was unexpectedly delayed, and what a pleasant surprise it turned out to be. I was just looking for a place to crash after a long, stressful day and ended up with so much more than expected. I booked what I thought was a standard hotel room and got a full condo! The bed was incredibly cozy—exactly what I needed to rest and recharge. The real cherry on top was their ability to accommodate an early check-in so I could grab a quick nap before heading back to the hospital. Thank you, Wellborn, for turning a tough day into a peaceful one. Highly recommend!

Was in town for the Sleep Token concert and needed somewhere close to the venue (because we wanted to walk to and from) and somewhere with 2 room suites because there was 3 of us. This was so cute! Easy to use the code and find the room. Room was comfortable and noise outside didnt bother us at all. The only thing is there was no door between the 2 rooms but I should have looked at the pictures better! Would definitely stay here again!
